A world-map play floor turning Terminal 1's kid corner into a playful invitation to travel, at Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport.

We turned the Terminal 1 kid corner into an invitation to travel, with an EPDM floor designed as a large-scale world map where children explore continents and invent their own journeys.
Around this playful cartography, modules inspired by air travel, a stylised plane and luggage, bring the airport setting to life, while vertical wall panels encourage fine motor play within a carefully controlled height. Inclusive and fully compliant with ERP and EN 1176 standards, the space lets children explore, manipulate and chart their own route, offering families a welcome pause from the rhythm of travel.

Bespoke wall games invite manipulation and discovery, paired with a world-map EPDM floor and travel-inspired modules that let children climb, crawl, jump, slide and balance.
The Bleu & Associés team was a great help throughout this large-scale project at the heart of Terminal 1 at Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport. Their professionalism, responsiveness and ability to adapt to the constraints of a demanding airport environment contributed greatly to the success of the operation. We particularly appreciated their involvement, their sense of service and the quality of their support at every stage of the project. An effective and constructive collaboration that we recommend without hesitation.

This variety of movement builds fine and gross motor skills, coordination and balance, while sparking curiosity and imagination around the idea of travel. For passengers, it eases the stress of airport waiting, creating a genuinely valued family experience within the terminal.
